Job summary

Each in Toowoomba is seeking a Psychologist to deliver high-quality psychological therapies to individuals with moderate to increasing mental health needs in a multidisciplinary setting.

You will conduct assessments, provide evidence-based interventions and work within a consortium to support recovery, wellbeing and connection to services while upholding trauma-informed and culturally safe practice.

Qualifications

• Significant experience providing psychological therapies and assessments within mental health settings.
• Experience with moderate to increasing acuity, complex presentations, dual diagnosis, and comorbidities.
• Trauma-informed, recovery-oriented practice and cultural safety.
• Experience in not-for-profit or health settings with governance and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological assessment and evidence-based therapies (CBT, ACT, DBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, group programs).
• Conduct comprehensive mental health and mental state assessments to inform treatment planning.
• Build therapeutic alliances and support client-led goals and recovery plans.
• Deliver psychoeducation, crisis response and de-escalation as needed.
• Participate in multidisciplinary care, case conferences and external consultations.
• Maintain clinical documentation and contribute to reporting and continuous improvement.
