Job summary

NSW Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the K8b Surgical Close Observation and Trauma Unit at Westmead Hospital. This temporary full-time position offers an hourly rate of $41.22 to $57.88 and a 38-hour work week. You will provide evidence-based nursing care and work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Recent relevant experience in a clinical setting as deemed appropriate by WSLHD.
• Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients.
• Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail.
• Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-informed and person-centred nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and care plans.
• Collaborate with patients, carers and multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Support development of nursing colleagues, students and assistants while contributing to quality improvement.
