Job summary

The Department of Transport and Planning in Victoria is seeking a Statutory Planner to protect and enhance the transport network by providing sound statutory planning advice, reviewing referrals, Transport Impact Assessment Reports, and assessing strategic land use decisions.

You will work with planning colleagues and external stakeholders to inform decisions, apply DTP guidelines, and support Municipal Strategic Statements and Planning Scheme Amendments; a degree in Planning or Engineering is

Qualifications

• Experience in statutory planning, traffic engineering or transport planning.
• Degree in Planning or Engineering or five years minimum technical experience.
• Driver’s Licence.

• Interprets planning processes and applies guidelines to resolve complex issues.
• Influences and negotiates with government, industry and community stakeholders.
• Assesses planning applications using specialist precinct, statutory planning and engineering expertise.
