Transport Forklift Driver Eastern Creek

Salary: AUD44.1 - AUD44.1 per hour

The Role
Toll People are currently seeking casual Forklift Loaders for a depot based in Eastern Creek, NSW, Australia. Our client delivers a range of freight ranging from cartons, pallets, dangerous goods, perishables, awkward shape, oversize cargo or full pallet movement for an array of customers. This is not just a forklift position, you will be required to manually sort freight and strap / restrain loads
Casual on call. $44.10 per hour. Must be flexible to start between 5-7am starts / 4-6 hour shifts on average.

Key Responsibilities

• Strapping/restraining Linehaul rigids, singles and double trailers
• Sorting small to medium size cartons
• Running pallets of freight in the breezeway
• Opening and closing of vehicles that have gates, straps and curtains
• Unloading Linehaul B Doubles and Semi Trailers from interstate locations
• Load local PUD Tautliner vehicles along with restraining loads as required
• Re palletising of freight
• Freight sortation

Skills & Experience

• Hold a current LF forklift Licence with 2 years forklift experience
• Operated a Toyota forklift
• Hold a Bluecard or be willing to obtain one if successful for the position
• Loading vehicles with a range of different freight
• High degree of knowledge relating to load restraint compliance
• Good numeracy skills to ensure the weight of freight complies with the legal load limits on vehicles
• Extensive experience loading linehaul vehicles with mezzanine floors
• Experience with Dangerous Goods and have a good understanding of the regulations associated
