Airswift is recruiting on behalf of Elecnor for Transmission Riggers across Australia, with assignments mainly in New South Wales. The role includes rostering: 3 weeks on, 1 week off, 10-hour days, and travel/pay logistics handled by the employer.

The position provides flights to mobilisation, on-site accommodation, weekly pay and PPE/tools supplied. Applicants must have rigging qualifications and full working rights in Australia.

Qualifications

• Experience working on Transmission Line construction and erection.
• Full Australian Working Rights.
• Driver’s License.
• Australian Recognised Rigger Ticket / equivalent qualifications.
• White Card.
• EWP License and Working at Heights advantageous.
• Ability to complete full pre-employment medical.

Responsabilités

• Assemble steel lattice towers with anti-climbing devices, steps, and signage.
• String transmission lines up to 500kV.
• Apply earthing schemes to dissipate voltages and protect linesmen.
• Follow safety rules, risk assessments and permits; mark danger zones.
• Promptly report accidents and near-miss incidents.

Airswift is partnering Elecnor to support their blue-collar recruitment across their Australia & New Zealand operations.

Elecnor is a leading Spanish business group in the infrastructure, renewable energy, services and new technology sectors with over 65 years of continuous growth and a presence in 55 countries.

We are current looking for 5 X Transmission Riggers to join Elecnor’s various projects across Australia, primarily New South Wales on a permanent and ongoing basis. Flights will be provided to successful candidates from all over Australia to Sydney, or applicable city, for mobilisation.

The Position

Ideally ASAP start (within next four weeks).

• Assembly of steel lattice towers (“electricity pylons”) with associated anti-climbing devices, step-bolts and signage.
• Stringing of new transmission lines up to 500kV.
• Applying appropriate earthing schemes to dissipate induced voltages and protect linesmen working on towers.
• Following strict safety rules in line with work instructions, risk assessments and permits to work, marking out appropriate danger zones around overhead working areas and ensuring that all known risks at work sites are controlled.
• Ensuring that accidents and near‑miss incidents are promptly reported.

• 3 weeks on, 1 week off roster.
• 10 hour days minimum paid.
• 8 hours paid travel on travel day/s.

• Accommodation provided at or near site.

Position Requirements

• Experience working on Transmission Line construction and erection, with considerations being made for Telco personnel with large tower experience.
• Full Australian Working Rights.
• Driver’s License.
• Australian Recognised Rigger Ticket / equivalent qualifications.
• White Card.
• EWP License and Working at Heights highly advantageous.
• Ability to complete full pre-employment medical.
