Job summary

Ventia invites qualified Transmission Linesworkers to join its expanding Energy and Renewables team in South Australia. The role involves maintenance, construction, and installation across high-voltage lines, with safety first in all tasks.

This is a permanent full-time position based in SA, offering an hourly wage and allowances appropriate to experience. Applicants should be willing to relocate if needed and commit to working on varied line structures, with emphasis on safety and efficiency in

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and construction tasks and ensure safe, timely, cost-effective completion.
• Work on transmission lines at voltages from 66kV to 500kV.
• Lifting, climbing poles, trenching for underground cables, or working in overhead buckets.
• Installing and repairing poles, cables, and electrical equipment related to overhead transmission systems.
• Adhere to public and crew safety through PPE and emergency procedures.

Benefits

• Competitive hourly wage $63.57 - $68.94 per hour plus super(based on experience)
• Living Away from Home Allowance(Approx. between $290-400 per day, depending on the location)
• Guaranteed opportunity to work a minimum of 8 working hours per day on two weekends per calendar month
• Permanent full-time employment

About The Role

• Perform maintenance and construction tasks and ensure the safe, timely and cost-effective completion of work in accordance with company and client policies and procedures
• Work on various structure types of transmission lines at voltages from 66kV to 500kV
• Lifting, climbing poles, trenching for the installation of underground cable, or working in overhead buckets
• Installing and repairing poles, cables, and electrical equipment related to overhead transmission systems
• Working to ensure public safety and electrical crew safety through personal protection equipment and by practicing emergency procedures and training
