We’re seeking a reliable Transfer Station Operator to support day-to-day operations at a busy Resource Recovery/Waste Management Centre in Ballina. You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, providing helpful, calm customer service while directing vehicles and customers to the correct drop‑off areas and encouraging safe, compliant recycling and resource recovery. The role also includes hands‑on site support such as general labouring and grounds maintenance (e.g., litter collection, mowing/weeding and basic upkeep), completing standard paperwork (timesheets, work orders and WHS documentation), and working safely in line with site procedures.
Working hours are a key part of this role: you’ll work 7:30am–4:30pm on a rotating roster, starting 2–3 days per week with the potential to increase to full‑time hours in early 2027. You must be available Monday to Friday and also commit to at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) per fortnight—regular weekend work is required.
