Job summary

You will work with trainees, clinicians, hospitals and committees to deliver a compliant, efficient training portfolio, with a development pathway toward a Senior Training Manager.

About The Role

Reporting to the Senior Training Manager, you'll play a key role in the delivery of a specialist medical training program across Australia and New Zealand. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering specialist medical training programs, supporting trainee assessment, progression and accreditation across Australia and New Zealand.

The Training Manager will manage key activities including trainee selection, progression, and training post accreditation, ensuring the training program is delivered efficiently, consistently and in line with relevant policies and regulations. Working closely with trainees, clinicians, hospitals and committees, the position combines program coordination, stakeholder engagement and governance support, while contributing to ongoing program improvement.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Training Program Coordination: Coordinate trainee assessment, progression and reporting processes, ensuring trainees meet program requirements and progression milestones.


• Committee & Governance Support: Support the Regional Training Committees through meeting coordination, governance administration and stakeholder communications.


• Stakeholder Engagement & Program Support: Build strong relationships with trainees, clinicians, hospitals and volunteer committees while providing operational support across key training activities.


• Continuous Improvement: Play a key role in the ongoing development and improvement of training processes, systems, regulations and strategic initiatives across the training portfolio.

• Demonstrated experience coordinating and/or managing training programs within a medical college, professional association, healthcare organisation or training and accreditation environment.


• Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, multiple stakeholders and critical deadlines.


• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence building relationships across all levels of an organisation.


• Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, committee papers, minutes and stakeholder correspondence.


• Experience supporting or advising governance committees and managing delegated administrative responsibilities.


• Confidence using LMS, CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications to manage records, reporting and operational processes.


• A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with strong initiative, sound judgement and the ability to remain calm under pressure.


• Flexibility to attend occasional out-of-hours meetings to support committees and key stakeholder activities.
