Job summary

Five Good Friends is seeking a Training Facilitator in Australia to deliver one-on-one training across aged care and disability services, including in Members' homes. You will assess learners, mentor Helpers, and develop resources to support skill development in real-world settings.

This hands-on role focuses on practical learning, requiring strong relationship-building, adaptability, and travel as needed to support learners and programs.

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent required.
  • Qualification in Aged Care, Disability, or Healthcare preferred.
  • Experience delivering training, education, mentoring, or assessing others.
  • Strong digital literacy and confidence with learning/ workforce systems.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, stay organised, and manage competing priorities.
  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised one-on-one training, education, and assessment sessions online, in person, and in Members' homes.
  • Support Helpers through training, mentoring, and skills development.
  • Assess competencies and provide constructive feedback to learners.
  • Develop and improve training resources and learning materials.
  • Create individual learning plans to support performance and growth.
  • Visit Members' homes to facilitate practical learning and skills assessments.
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development team on new programs and initiatives.
  • Identify capability gaps and recommend learning solutions.
  • Maintain learner records and training systems.
  • Help create clear career pathways that encourage Helpers to learn, grow, and thrive.

About The Role

We're looking for a passionate and engaging Training Facilitator to help our workforce build skills, confidence, and meaningful career pathways.

In this hands-on role, you'll deliver and assess training across aged care and disability services, support Helpers through personalised training and mentoring, and contribute to the development of learning resources and programs. Unlike traditional classroom-based training roles, this position is focused primarily on one-on-one learning experiences, working directly with Helpers to develop their skills, confidence, and capability in real-world settings.

You’ll facilitate learning in a variety of environments, including online, face-to-face, and within Members' homes, providing tailored support, practical skills development, and individualised assessments. This role is ideal for someone who is energised by building strong relationships, adapting their approach to individual learners, and seeing the direct impact of their training and development efforts.

What You’ll Be Doing

About You

You're passionate about helping others grow and thrive.

You have solid experience in aged care, disability, or community services and enjoy sharing your knowledge through training, eduction, and mentoring. You're confident in facilitating engaging learning experiences, building strong relationships, and adapting your approach to suit different learning styles and backgrounds.
