Ternary Consulting is seeking compassionate, reliable individuals to join their team as Trainee Community Support Workers across the Greater Sydney region. This 12–15 month paid traineeship combines hands-on home-based care with formal training to achieve a Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33021) - Aged Care.

Trainees will gain real experience supporting aged care clients at home while attending training days. Positions are available in Inner North, Northern Beaches and St George.

Qualifications

• No industry-recognised qualification required to start traineeship.
• Must be able to obtain and pass a National Police Check.
• Must hold a current NSW Driver Licence.
• Access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
• Australian or New Zealand citizen, or permanent resident eligible for traineeship funding.
• Availability of at least three consistent weekdays (Mon–Fri).
• Live within 10 kilometres of one advertised location.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• Willing to learn and complete a nationally recognised qualification.
• Ability to travel to support clients within approx. 25 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Providing domestic assistance, including vacuuming, mopping, changing linen, and general household cleaning
• Bed making and maintaining tidy living spaces
• Assisting clients with shopping and errands
• Providing transport to appointments and community activities
• Supporting clients with personal care, including showering, dressing, and grooming
• Delivering respite and social support services; Building positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
• Communicating effectively with clients and members of the care team

This opportunity is ideal for people who do not currently hold an industry-recognised qualification but would like to earn while they learn through a supported traineeship pathway.

About the Opportunity:

Successful applicants will undertake a 12 to 15-month paid traineeship, combining practical workplace experience with formal training to achieve a Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33021) - Aged Care.

Trainees will gain hands-on experience supporting aged care clients in their homes while being paid to attend training and study days throughout the program.

Multiple positions are available across the following Sydney regions:

• Inner North (Mosman, North Sydney, Manly)
• Northern Beaches (Dee Why, Narrabeen, Belrose, Frenchs Forest)
• St George (Hurstville, Rockdale, St George)

Successful candidates will be employed within their local area and should be willing to travel up to approximately 25 minutes to support clients in their homes.
