The City of Coffs Harbour is offering a full-time fixed-term Trainee Survey and Design role in Coffs Harbour NSW. No experience required; you will gain hands-on experience in surveying, engineering design, CAD drafting, site inspections and project delivery while earning a nationally recognised qualification.

The program includes mentorship, 35 hours per week, flex time, 12% superannuation, and a starting weekly rate of $860.50.

Competenze

• Completion or underway of Higher School Certificate and interest in engineering, surveying or design.
• Strong communication and computer skills; willing to learn and follow direction while studying.
• Interested in gaining hands-on experience in surveying, engineering design, CAD drafting and site inspections.

Mansioni

• Assist surveying and design activities across the Coffs Coast.
• Learn CAD drafting and engineering design on real projects.
• Participate in site inspections and project delivery tasks.

The Trainee Survey and Design role is an exciting opportunity to kick-start your career in engineering and infrastructure while earning a nationally recognised qualification. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll gain hands-on experience in surveying, engineering design, CAD drafting, site inspections and project delivery across the Coffs Coast. Build valuable skills, work on real projects and earn while you learn in a role designed to set you up for long-term career success.

About you

You have completed, or are working towards completing, your Higher School Certificate and are eager to start a career in engineering, surveying or design. You bring strong communication and computer skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow direction while undertaking further study.

• Weekly salary will be in line with the Trainee rates outlined in the Local Government (State) Award 2026 commencing from $860.50, depending on your capabilities and experience
