The Opportunity

We’re looking for someonehands-on, mechanically savvy, and self-motivatedto join our team as aStump Grinding Operator.

You don’t need previous stump grinding experience – we’ll provide full training. What matters most is your ability to:

  • Work confidently with machinery and tools.
  • Solve problems and take initiative when working independently.
  • Be safety-conscious and reliable.
  • Trusted to provide a professional and efficient service without onsite supervision.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Operating specialised stump grinding machinery.
  • Working on job sites across Adelaide and surrounding areas.
  • Representing Austral Tree Services with professionalism and care.
  • Working around underground services
  • Organised, careful and methodical to complete daily work.
  • Complying with all company processes, SOPS and safety standards
  • Respecting, maintaining and caring for you company fleet and equipment
  • Demonstrating a keen ability to learn and apply new skills to your job

What We’re Looking For

  • A mechanical mindset – maybe you’ve worked with engines, tools, farm machinery, or construction gear.
  • The ability to work unsupervised and get the job done.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Hold a valid Driver’s licenceand MR Licence (essential)
