Job summary

Harris Farm Markets is launching a next generation of Store Managers in New South Wales through a structured 12-24 month program. You’ll work alongside an experienced Store Manager, take on real responsibility from day one, and build toward running your own store.

We’re looking for leaders who love food, want to develop people, and drive results in fresh food retail. Expect hands-on learning, progression, and a clear path to store ownership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' retail or hospitality management, or equivalent supervisory experience.
• Track record of driving results and leading a team.
• Comfort with data; reading a P&L and explaining drivers.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager across daily operations with increasing scope.
• Learn compliance, scheduling and admin, then own it.
• Deputise for the Store Manager on floor with expanding responsibility.
• Support team development, recruitment and day-to-day people leadership.
• Participate in performance conversations and coaching.
• Understand sales, margins, wages, KPIs to inform decisions.
• Learn and apply food safety and workplace safety procedures end-to-end.

Harris Farm is building its next generation of Store Managers, and we're searching across NSW for people with genuine leadership instincts, wherever you're working now. This is a structured, 12-24 month program where you'll work alongside an experienced Store Manager, take on real responsibility from day one, and build toward running your own store.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Store Manager across all daily operations, taking on progressively bigger sections as you develop
• Learn and assist with compliance, scheduling, and admin, then own it
• Deputise for the Store Manager when they're off the floor, with increasing scope over time
• Support team development, recruitment, and day-to-day people leadership, observing, then coaching
• Participate in performance management and feedback conversations
• Learn how the numbers work, sales, margin, wages, KPIs and support commercial decisions
• Learn and apply food safety, workplace safety, and compliance procedures end-to-end

What' You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who loves food and genuinely wants to lead in fresh food retail. Additionally, we're looking for someone with:

• 2+ years' retail or hospitality management, or equivalent supervisory experience
• A track record of driving results and leading a team
• Comfort with data, you can read a P&L and explain what's driving performance
• People leadership skills, you can coach, motivate, and hold people accountable
