Zusammenfassung

Regen Environmental Management is seeking a motivated Trainee – Natural Resource Management to join our Melbourne and regional Victoria teams. No prior experience required; you'll learn on the job while working with experienced crews and mentors to complete a Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management.

You'll plant native species, assist with weed control, protect waterways and habitats, and gain hands-on field skills across diverse sites in Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Qualifikationen

• No prior experience required; traineeship provides on-the-job learning.
• Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management offered during traineeship.

• Plant indigenous trees, shrubs and grasses on restoration sites.
• Weed control by hand and with tools, then knapsack spraying when trained.
• Maintain waterways, wetlands and bushland reserves.

• Follow safe work practices and keep crew/site safe.
• Record simple site information and progress.

Trainee – Natural Resource Management (Melbourne & Regional Victoria)

We're looking for a motivated trainee to join our Natural Resource Management (NRM) team. You don't need experience. You'll work alongside experienced Leading Hands and field crews and learn on the job. Your employer will support you to complete a Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management as part of your traineeship.

Key responsibilities

• Planting indigenous trees, shrubs and grasses on revegetation and restoration sites
• Controlling weeds by hand, with hand tools and (once trained and certified) with knapsack spraying
• Maintaining waterways, wetlands and bushland reserves
• Learning to identify native plants, weeds and local wildlife
• Helping with site set-up, fencing, mulching, tree guards and general site maintenance
• Following safe work practices and helping keep your crew and site safe
• Recording simple site information and progress

About you

• A genuine passion for the environment, native plants and wildlife
• Enjoys physical, hands-on outdoor work in all weather
• Reliable and punctual, with a positive, can-do attitude
• Keen to learn and happy to take direction
• Works well in a team
• An interest in, or study of, horticulture, conservation or environmental science is a bonus but not essential
