Job summary

Maitland Kids Preschool and Early Learning Centre in Maitland NSW is seeking a motivated Trainee Educator to join our caring team while completing a Nationally Recognised Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

You will learn from experienced educators, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to creating meaningful learning experiences for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, while developing knowledge of EYLF, NQF and best practice in early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Completed Year 12.
• Genuine passion for early childhood education and a long-term career in the sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team.
• Strong organisational skills and a willingness to contribute to daily operations.
• Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Reliable transport.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Support educators in delivering high-quality education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
• Assist with creating safe, engaging and inclusive learning environments.
• Build warm, respectful and positive relationships with children, families and fellow educators.
• Support daily routines, play experiences and educational activities.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Centre.
• Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team and contribute positively to daily operations.
• Participate in professional development, training and workplace mentoring.
• Learn about the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and early childhood best practice.
• Contribute to creating a welcoming environment where every child feels safe, respected and has a genuine sense of belonging.
