The City of Canterbury Bankstown is seeking a Trainee Customer Service Officer to join the Customer Service Team in Bankstown.
You will gain hands-on experience assisting residents, local businesses and the wider community through telephone and face-to-face service, while completing a TAFE course over two years starting February 2027.

Build your career in customer service while gaining hands-on experience supporting our diverse community! As a Trainee Customer Service Officer, you'll combine structured learning and development with practical, on-the-job experience as part of Council's Customer Service Team. You'll gain experience assisting residents, local businesses and the wider community with a broad range of Council enquiries and requests through both telephone and face-to-face customer service. This is a two-year Temporary Full-Time traineeship commencing in February 2027, where you will develop practical workplace skills and build a strong foundation for your career in customer service, while completing a TAFE course alongside your work with Council.
Previous experience in a customer service role is not essential but advantageous.
The salary range for this opportunity commences at $38,272 (T3 at 17 years of age) or $44,746 (T4 at 18+ years or completed HSC) + 12% super.
