Job summary

NSW Health is seeking a Basic Trainee in Anaesthetics based at Dubbo Health Service within Western NSW Local Health District. The role covers anaesthesia administration across diverse surgical areas and requires current registration or eligibility with the Medical Board of Australia.

Ideal candidates will have postgraduate training and be prepared for a shift/on-call roster in a rural setting, with a focus on patient care and professional development.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Completion of postgraduate training beyond basic level is expected.
• Valid NSW Working with Children check required.
• National Police check and Aged Care Check are required for appropriate NSW Health roles.
• Vaccination evidence as per NSW Health policy is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all activities of the Department of Anaesthesia.
• Assist with administration of general and regional anaesthesia.
• Support anaesthesia across multiple surgical specialties as required.
• Deliver patient care in a supervised multidisciplinary team.
