Job summary

Workforce Road Services, part of the Workforce International Group, is seeking experienced Casual Traffic Controllers for a current project in Hornsby, NSW.

The ideal candidate will have a White Card, Traffic Control Tickets and proven experience in traffic control operations, with a valid licence and own transport. A pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening is required, and double vaccination for Covid-19 is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic management for works or events.
• Use Stop/Slow Bat to control traffic.
• Implement and monitor Traffic Management Plans.
• Load and unload equipment and signage.
• Complete hazard assessments and implement controls.
• Report site hazards and near misses.
• Monitor traffic behaviour to ensure safety.
• Control traffic, pedestrians and cyclists to protect workers and the public.

We are currently looking for experienced Casual Traffic Controllers to join us, working on a current project located in Hornsby. The ideal candidate will have a valid White Card, Traffic Control Tickets and proven experience in traffic control operations.

What you will be doing:

Perform all tasks associated with traffic management for works or events

Use of Stop/Slow Bat to control traffic

Implement and monitor operational Traffic Management Plans

Load and unload vehicles with equipment and signage

Complete size hazard assessments and implement control measures to suit the site

Report on site hazards and near misses

Monitor traffic behaviour and flow to ensure safety is maintained at all times

Control traffic, pedestrians and cyclists to prevent maintenance workers, work crews and members of the public

What we’re looking for:

Traffic Controller (Blue) Card

Implement Traffic Control Plans (Yellow) Card

White Card

Drivers licence and own transport

Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening

Ability to stand for extended periods of time

As this is a local government position, all applicants must have received a minimum double vaccination for Covid-19 with evidence to be considered
