Job summary

Hycool Air Conditioning & Electrical is seeking an experienced residential air-conditioning installer to join our growing team in Vineyard, NSW. You will work with the installation crew on ducted, split and multi-split systems, reading plans, testing and commissioning, and mentoring apprentices.

The role offers a full-time position with a $5,000 sign-on bonus, competitive wages, overtime, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration required.
• Current Refrigerant Handling Licence required.
• NSW air-conditioning and refrigeration licence or certificate required.
• Residential ducted and split-system installation experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Install ducted, split and multi-split air-conditioning systems.
• Complete refrigeration pipework, drainage, ductwork and equipment installation.
• Read plans and installation specifications to ensure accurate setup.
• Test, commission and complete installation paperwork.
• Lead and assist apprentices and junior team members.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, builders and other trades.
• Keep a clean, safe and organised worksite.
• Carry out servicing, fault-finding and maintenance as needed.

About the role

You will work alongside our experienced installation team, completing residential and light commercial air-conditioning projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing ducted, split and multi-split air-conditioning systems

• Completing refrigeration pipework, drainage, ductwork and equipment installation

• Reading plans and installation specifications

• Testing, commissioning and completing installation paperwork

• Leading and assisting apprentices and installation team members

• Communicating professionally with customers, builders and other trades

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised worksite

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and fault-finding where required

What we’re looking for

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration

• A current Refrigerant Handling Licence

• The appropriate NSW air-conditioning and refrigeration licence or certificate

• Residential ducted and split-system installation experience

• A current Australian driver licence

• A current White Card

• Full Australian working rights

• Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship

• The ability to work effectively within a team

• A professional attitude when dealing with customers

• A reliable, honest and punctual approach to work

Service and fault-finding experience would be highly regarded but is not essential.
