Stug Australia is seeking a Trade Assistant and Despatch Officer to join our team in Melbourne. The role supports tradespeople with labor, tools and site maintenance while handling stock movement, freight bookings, and order dispatch.

Hours are negotiable between full-time or part-time. The position requires the ability to work in a hands-on environment, maintain safe work practices, and manage warehouse stock and shipments efficiently.

Stug specialises in the precision machining of engineering plastics and metals are currently sourcing a Trade Assistant and Despatch Officer to join our successful team. The core purpose of the role istoassist tradespeople with labor, tools, and maintenance, while simultaneously managing stock movement, booking freight, and handling order dispatch.

Hours: Full-time or Part-time. We are negotiable on hours and days.

To be successful in this position you will be required to undertake the following responsibilities.

Candidate Responsibilities

Support qualified tradespeople

Provide general labor, prepare job sites, and handle equipment maintenance.

Tool operation

Safely operate hand tools, power tools, cleaning gear, and machinery.

Workplace safety

Maintain clean, safe work zones that comply strictly with Work Health and Safety (WHS) rules.

Despatch & Logistics

Order fulfillment

Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments according to consignment notes and sales orders.

Freight management

Book freight carriers, manage manifests, and verify shipping documentation.

Warehouse operations

Unload and load deliveries while actively monitoring warehouse stock levels.
