Job summary

Sherrin Rentals is seeking a reliable Trade Assistant to support the workshop and yard operations in Toowoomba. The role is hands-on, with duties including assisting the workshop team, refueling equipment, cleaning, detailing, and basic painting touch-ups.

A willingness to learn and a good attitude are valued, with no trade qualification required. Working hours run Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with top hourly rates and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Mechanically minded with an interest in workshop tasks.
• Experience with heavy equipment, machinery or vehicles preferred.
• Reliable and hardworking with a safety-conscious mindset.
• Physically fit and able to work in a hands-on environment.
• Owners of basic tools are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the workshop team with daily tasks.
• Refuel plant and equipment as needed.
• Wash and detail equipment for hire readiness.
• Perform minor paint touch-ups on gear.
• Move and organise equipment, parts and tools.
• Keep the workshop and yard clean and safe.

Duties:

• Assist the workshop team

• Wash and detail equipment ready for hire

• Move and organise equipment, parts, and tools
• Keep the workshop and yard clean and safe
