Job summary

Commercial and General Coolrooms in Braeside, VIC is recruiting a Trades Assistant to support our on-site tradespeople with cold-room panel installations and site operations.

We offer full-time hours, 7am–3:30pm, five days a week, with occasional overtime and a competitive hourly rate of $45/hr plus Super. You will work mainly on active sites, leveraging your hands-on skills and strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• White Card and a valid driver’s licence are essential.
• EWP Licence, Forklift and Working at Heights tickets required.
• Experience with hand and power tools on construction sites.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual labour five days a week.
• Safety‑first mindset on active sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and removal of cold-room panels.
• Perform general labour and manual tasks on site.
• Load, unload and move materials around the site.
• Use basic hand tools and equipment.
• Keep work areas clean, organised and hazard-free.
• Support site safety requirements.

About the role

You will be working right alongside our experienced tradespeople, helping with cold‑room panel installations and keeping sites running smoothly.
