Job summary

Alphacool is seeking skilled Trade Assistants in Portsmith, Queensland, Australia, for full-time roles. The position offers a 9-day fortnight, leave loading of 17.5%, a free yearly gym membership, a work car, and a work phone.

Experience in the HVAC or electrical industry is preferred, with duties spanning installation, maintenance, fault finding and service reporting. The role involves assisting technicians with testing, servicing, diagnostics and client communications, in a collaborative team

Responsibilities

• Assists with the install, maintenance, testing and servicing a large range of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems in accordance with Best Practice and Australian Standards.
• Assist in attending breakdowns and fault finds.
• Assist in conducting preventative maintenance and repair services.
• Assist in reviewing recently serviced equipment and ensure performance is appropriate.
• Performs basic troubleshooting and diagnostics on HVAC-R systems.
• Provide service reports to clients/customers.
• Maintain reports and records.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians, technical employees and customers.
