Job summary

Bunnings is looking for a casual Trade Centre helper to pick and pack orders, load and unload stock, and ensure timely dispatch to our trade customers. You will work with safe handling practices in a fast-paced environment, using forklift equipment as needed. Training will be provided for non-licensed applicants.

You’ll join a diverse team where safety and accuracy matter, with opportunities to grow within the Trade Centre network and build a rewarding career in retail logistics.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused and able to work in a fast-paced Trade Centre environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Accuracy and attention to detail are critical in order picking and packing.
• A current forklift license would be ideal but is not essential, training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload products on delivery trucks using machinery as required.

• Replenish stock to keep operations running smoothly.

About the role:

Our Trade Centre’s operate a little differently to our retail sites providing a delivery and pick up solution for key building lines, delivering bulk quantities of materials to building sites. We partner with our commercial customers, helping them manage their projects with a ‘whole of build’ solution.

We stock a select number of core builders’ lines, that allows our customers to build from the slab up. Everything from timber, fibre cement, cladding, windows, doors and appliances. Our Trade Centre’s take the pick/pack and delivery of these bulk products out of our store environment which allows our stores to focus on giving the best customer experience and supporting other trades.

This isa casualrole and flexibility to workmorning, day, evening shifts between 6am and 9pm Monday to Saturdayisrequiredso that we can provide the best experience to our trade customers.

What you’ll do:

• Pick and pack orders with precision and care

• Load and unload products on delivery trucks utilising machinery (high reach and counter balance forklift) as required

• Ensure orders are dispatched in full and on time

• Replenish stock to keep our operations running smoothly

• Use equipment and machinery to safely move stock and organise products

Never worked in a trade centre before? If you have the right attitude, we’ll make sure you have the skills to get the job done. We believe in empowering our team members and providing the training you need to succeed. We are looking for:

• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

• Accuracy and attention to detail

• A current forklift license would be ideal although not essential

• Experience in administration, warehousing, dispatch of deliveries or picking and packing of orders, or voice picking is ideal but not essential
