Job summary

Fetch Recruitment are seeking reliable Trade Assistants to join our team across residential and commercial construction, joinery, shopfitting and fit-out projects in Melbourne's East.

As a Trade Assistant, you will work alongside qualified tradespeople and site teams assisting with a variety of tasks, including moving, loading and unloading materials, using hand and power tools, cutting, drilling, grinding and basic fabrication work, and preparing work areas for safe, efficient progress.

Qualifications

• Must have White Card and own transport.
• Physically fit and able to work hands-on on-site.
• Capable of following instructions and working safely around machinery and vehicles.
• Reliable team player who can also work independently when required.
• Professional and respectful conduct on site.

Responsibilities

• Moving, loading and unloading materials and equipment
• Using hand and power tools
• Cutting, drilling, grinding and basic fabrication work
• Preparing work areas and maintaining clean and organised sites
• Assisting with installation, dismantling and maintenance work
• Basic measuring, marking and material preparation
• Using ladders, trolleys, lifting equipment and other site equipment where authorised
• Following instructions from supervisors and qualified tradespeople
• Working safely around machinery, vehicles, tools and other site hazards
• Completing other reasonable duties required to keep projects running efficiently
