Job summary

Mineral Resources is seeking a Trade Assistant to join the Onslow Iron operation in Western Australia. You will rotate on a 2/1 roster, supporting Heavy Road Train Fitters, Auto Electricians and Boilermakers in servicing, maintenance and trailer repairs for Kenworth C509 fleet.

The role requires hands-on work in a new 9-bay workshop and contributes to keeping the fleet road-worthy with minimal downtime. Prior workshop experience and safety training are essential.

Qualifications

• Full Australian Working Rights.
• Forklift Licence and HR Licence required.
• Strong commitment to safety and experience completing Take 5 & JSAs.
• Rigging & Dogging tickets desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience in a busy Ancillary or Heavy Road Transport Workshop.
• Experience assisting and working with HD Fitters or Auto Electricians.

Responsibilities

• Assist workshop team with general servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Support HD Fitters and Auto Electricians with day-to-day tasks.
• Help with component change-outs and swift resolution to breakdowns.
• Assist Boilermakers with maintenance and fabrication works to trailers and tubs.
• Contribute to keeping Kenworth C509 fleet road-worthy to minimise downtime.
