O'Brien Glass Industries Limited in Darra, QLD, is hiring a Trade Assistant to support Glaziers on-site. This full-time role involves preparing materials, assisting with glass deliveries, and keeping worksites clean and safe.

You'll use hand and power tools, follow safety procedures, and have the opportunity to progress via apprenticeship pathways within a respected national brand.

Qualifications

• Experience lifting/moving glass panels or glazing techniques.
• Hands‑on experience using hand tools and basic power tools.
• Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
• Strong numeracy and clear communication skills.
• Basic computer skills to order and process goods.
• A safety‑first mindset and reliable work ethic.
• Full Australian work rights.
• Ability to undertake and pass a pre‑employment medical.

Responsibilities

• On-site support for Glaziers and Contractor Glaziers.
• General labouring, including team lifts of glass panels.
• Operating hand and power tools.
• Preparing, maintaining and cleaning worksites.
• Ensuring glass and equipment are safely delivered to site.
• Completing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Following all safety procedures and site requirements.
