Job summary

Slide Easy Pty Ltd is a growing Australian business offering door and window repairs and installations across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. We are looking for a Trade Assistant to support technicians in residential and commercial properties and to develop into a fully trained Door & Window Technician over time.

You don't need prior experience, but reliability, practicality and a good attitude are essential.

Are you practical, reliable and keen to learn a new trade?

Slide Easy is a rapidly growing mobile repair business specialising in sliding doors, security doors, windows and associated hardware.

We service customers across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, and we're looking for a motivated person to join our team as a Trade Assistant, with the opportunity to develop into a fully trained Door & Window Technician.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Assist our technicians with onsite repairs and installations
• Learn how to repair and service sliding doors and windows
• Learn to use hand and power tools
• Help with measuring, cutting and fitting materials
• Load and maintain tools, equipment and van stock
• Keep the work vehicle and equipment organised
• Communicate professionally with customers
• Work at residential and commercial properties
• Gradually take on more responsibility as your skills develop
• Eventually operate your own fully equipped Slide Easy mobile van

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You don't necessarily need previous experience in this exact trade.

We're looking for someone who is:

• Reliable and punctual
• Practical and mechanically minded
• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools - or keen to learn
• Physically capable of performing hands-on work
• Well presented and professional with customers
• A good communicator
• Able to work independently once trained
• Someone who takes pride in doing a quality job
• Keen to learn a specialised trade and build a career

Previous experience in carpentry, glazing, aluminium, building, construction, maintenance, handyman work, fencing, mechanics or another hands-on trade would be an advantage, but is not essential.

A driver's licence is required.
