In this role, you'll:

Join a project shaping a smarter, more sustainable rail network. The Tangara Fleet Life Extension program is a key initiative that will upgrade operating systems, modernise passenger information systems, and improve accessibility for mobility-impaired customers—supporting the long-term future of Sydney's rail network.

Join our team at the Auburn Heavy Maintenance Centre as a Trade Assistant. We currently have three temporary opportunities available, with contract terms ranging from 11 to 22 months. These positions support the development of a skilled future workforce, strengthen local communities, and contribute to the ongoing success of NSW's transport industry.

Key responsibilities include:

You're a practical team player with solid warehouse or supply chain experience and a sharp eye for detail. You know your way around warehousing systems and can recognise and organise mechanical parts with confidence

You are confident working independently, managing your time effectively to meet deadlines. At the same time, you are highly collaborative, working seamlessly with trades and stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient operations while maintaining high standards.
