Job summary

WSG Eftech International is seeking a Trade Assistant to support tradespeople on oil and gas projects across our Western Australia sites. The role involves assisting with daily tasks, maintenance, and project work while ensuring safe, efficient operations in hazardous environments.

You will handle basic data entry, equipment preparation, and assist with fault-finding and mechanical servicing under supervision.

Qualifications

• Valid Australian driver's licence.
• White Card (construction/mining)
• Experience in Oil & Gas industry
• Basic WHS knowledge
• Forklift licence (highly regarded)
• Breathing Apparatus (highly regarded)

Responsibilities

• Assist tradespeople with daily tasks, maintenance, repairs and project work.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and competently.
• Prepare and maintain worksites, including cleaning, organising tools and materials, and ensuring safe access.
• Transport tools, equipment, and materials around the site as directed.
• Perform general labouring tasks, including painting, cleaning, rubbish removal, and assisting with basic repairs.
• Support routine maintenance, including inspecting equipment, lubrication tasks, minor mechanical tasks, or helping with shutdown activities.
• Follow WHS procedures, report hazards, and ensure safe work practices.
• Work under direction of tradespeople or supervisors and complete tasks within timeframes.
• Assist with fault-finding, part replacement, and mechanical servicing (as directed).
• Perform basic data entry, follow equipment manuals, and assist in confined or awkward spaces when required.
