Job summary

Rombola Family Farms in Griffith (NSW) is seeking a casual temporary Entry Level Tractor Driver to support the Farm Ops team. You will operate tractors to move produce bins, assist with harvesting, and help with basic farm tasks in a busy agribusiness.

The role requires a current driver’s license, reliability, and the ability to work in a team with a strong safety mindset. Training and on-site teamwork are provided across NSW and NT sites.

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Driver's License.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude.
• Team player who can work effectively with people from different backgrounds.
• Awareness and ability to adhere to WHS requirements.
• Flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate large tractors for transferring produce bins and other containers.
• Inspect, grade, sort, store, and post-harvest treat crops as needed.
• Set up and operate irrigation equipment.
• Apply pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers to crops.
• Clean and maintain irrigation ditches.
• Assist with minor repairs and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Perform farm labouring and maintenance tasks.
• Conduct daily pre-start checks.
• Record information about crops.
• Dig and plant seeds or transplant seedlings by hand.
• Harvest fruits and vegetables by hand.
• Load agricultural products into trucks or storage facilities.

Tractor Driver

Key operational accountabilities include:

• Operating big tractor engaged in transfer of produce bins and other containers.
