Job summary

The Public Transport Authority is seeking a motivated Track Engineer to join our Network & Infrastructure division, reporting to the Principal Track Engineer. You will undertake engineering and asset management activities that support track assets across the PTA network.

You will work with maintenance, condition monitoring and project teams to maintain track infrastructure to high safety and quality standards, and contribute to developing technical standards and asset management plans.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree meeting Engineers Australia requirements.
• Experience planning, designing, constructing and maintaining track infrastructure.
• Knowledge of standards for rail track construction and maintenance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and engineering judgement.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement across groups.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Undertake engineering and asset management activities to support track assets.
• Contribute to asset management plans and improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards and PTA requirements.
