Job summary

TAL Australia is seeking a Claims Consultant to manage life insurance claims end-to-end within our Group space for the Aware fund. You will deliver a seamless customer experience, communicating status and managing expectations for advisers, trustees, and fund administrators.

Responsibilities include handling a portfolio of IP/TPD and related claims, analyzing data, coordinating with external doctors and in-house experts, and ensuring timely outcomes in line with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Life insurance claims management experience within Group policy (IP/TPD) preferred.
• Workers' Compensation or Return to Work claims with Allied Health background.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and empathy to support customers during challenging times.
• Solid understanding of injuries, illnesses and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class customer and client experience, including regular updates on claim status.
• Independently manage a portfolio of IP/TPD claims end-to-end.
• Assess, analyse, calculate and finalise claims payments.
• Engage with external treating doctors, rehabilitation consultants and in-house medical/legal specialists.
• Deliver timely outcomes in line with policy and procedures.
