Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• Experience in the assessment of development applications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Environment Planning & Assessment Act 1979 and Local Government Act 1993 and related regulations.
• Developed communication skills both verbal and written including report writing.

Responsibilities

• Assess Development Applications and provide associated customer service.
• Assist the Local Planning Panel in considering Development Applications.
• Provide expert evidence in the Land and Environment Court of NSW.

The Role

Reporting to the Coordinator Town Planning, and based in Windsor NSW, this position is responsible for the assessment of Development Applications and associated customer service functions, assists the Local Planning Panel in their consideration of Development Applications and provision of expert evidence in the Land and Environment Court of NSW.

You will demonstrate a strong commitment to customer excellence with your interpersonal and negotiation skills, work with the community with strong written and verbal communication. You have excellence time management. with the ability to contribute positively to the team culture and help achieve success contributing towards business improvement.

• Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or a related discipline
• Relevant experience in the assessment of development applications
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Environment Planning & Assessment Act 1979 and Local Government Act 1993 and associated legislation and regulations as they relate to development assessment
• Developed communication skills both verbal and written including report writing skills
• Experience with complex and/or contentious developments is desirable
• The right to live and work in Australia
• Class C Drivers Licence
• WHS General Construction Work in NSW
• Working with Children Check (WWCC)
