Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Limited is seeking a Band 6 Therapeutic Radiographer specialising in AHP – Imaging for a full-time position in Brighton, UK. The role involves delivering radiotherapy treatments using TomoTherapy units and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey.

The successful candidate will have HCPC registration, Band 6 Radiographer experience in an NHS radiotherapy department, and demonstrated knowledge of radiotherapy technologies.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Therapeutic Radiography.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Band 6 Radiographer experience in a radiotherapy service.
• Experience delivering radiotherapy safely and accurately.
• Knowledge of TomoTherapy and treatment verification procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient-care abilities.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• NHS Radiotherapy Department experience.
• Involvement in radiotherapy governance and quality assurance activities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate radiotherapy treatments using TomoTherapy units.
• Support patients throughout their radiotherapy pathway.
• Ensure safe and accurate delivery of prescribed radiotherapy.
• Carry out treatment verification procedures per protocol.
• Maintain comprehensive treatment records and documentation.
• Monitor patient wellbeing and escalate concerns.
• Collaborate with Consultants, Clinicians, Physicists, Dosimetrists, and MDT.
• Promote patient-centred care and provide information and reassurance.
• Engage in quality governance and service improvement activities.
• Adhere to local policies and national radiotherapy standards.
