Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd. is seeking a Band 6 Service Delivery Lead Nurse for an ongoing locum role in Brighton and the South Coast, focusing on leading mobile phlebotomy units.

You will oversee a team of Healthcare Assistants, ensure SOPs and PPE adherence, manage stock, and maintain high clinical standards while providing blood collection services across shifts, including weekends. Applicants must hold Band 6 with venepuncture and DBS, have a valid driving licence, and be prepared for driving

Qualifications

• Band 6 or above with current competencies in venepuncture, cannulation, and blood drawing.
• DBS certificate and clearance.
• Clean driving licence required.
• Induction with driving responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate Healthcare Assistants in daily phlebotomy operations.
• Ensure SOPs are followed during each shift.
• Oversee clinic management, PPE usage and clinical processes.
• Manage stock levels and coordinate with Service Managers.
• Report incidents accurately and handle operational issues.
• Perform venepuncture for unsuccessful blood collection attempts.
• Maintain high clinical standards and carry out daily audits.
• Demonstrate strong leadership to ensure efficient team performance.
