Job summary

Hume Doors & Timber in Lansvale NSW 2166 is seeking an organised and reliable Purchasing Clerk to join our door and timber manufacturing team. You will process purchase orders, purchase timber and hardware, liaise with suppliers, obtain quotes, follow up deliveries and ensure materials are available when required.

Experience in manufacturing, timber, doors, hardware or building products is valued. ERP or purchasing system experience is an advantage and a permanent full-time, Monday–Friday

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement or administration is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are important.
• Good communication and computer skills are required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is essential.
• Proactive, reliable and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain purchase orders.
• Purchase timber, hardware and production materials.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability and delivery.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotes.
• Follow up outstanding orders and delayed deliveries.
• Monitor stock requirements and assist with replenishment.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records.
• Work closely with production, warehouse and sales teams.
