Job summary

Engtruss Group, based in Braeside, VIC, seeks an experienced Timber Estimator to join our team in a full-time, office-based role. You will prepare estimates for roof trusses, PosiStrut floor systems and wall frames, reading drawings and project specs to produce accurate quotations.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of estimating experience in timber components, with MiTek 20/20 or Sapphire Structure proficiency, and possess strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of estimating experience in timber roof trusses, PosiStrut or prefabricated wall frames.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/structural drawings.
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for roof trusses, PosiStrut floor systems, wall frames and related products.
• Review architectural and structural drawings and project specifications.
• Prepare and finalise customer quotations.
• Follow up with customers to clarify quotation scope and gather information.
• Perform data entry, maintain estimating records and update job information.
• Communicate with builders, customers and internal teams.
• Manage multiple quotations and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
