Job Detail: Therapy Assistant - Toowoomba Outreach Therapy (based in Warwick)

Are you an Allied Health student, perhaps studying externally, living locally looking for some real-world paid experience in delivering therapy programs? Or a fully qualified AHA ready to further your experience?

About the position
As a Therapy Assistant at Northcott, you will deliver therapy programs to our clients under the instruction and guidance of a qualified Allied Health Professional. Therapy programs will include individual and group therapy programs for clients, in an individual and family-centered model of practice.

This position is based locally in Warwick and surrounds. You will receive regular support from our Therapists in person and also remotely. This is a casual position, based in the community. The hours on offer are envisaged to grow based on your capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support our clients and their families to achieve their therapy goals with the delivery of therapy programs.
  2. Further your experience in the fast-growing disability sector, whilst receiving ongoing and careful support from our Allied Health Professionals.
  3. Be a champion for our customers and support them to achieve their goals and independence.

Key Requirements

  1. Allied Health students currently studying an allied health degree (e.g. SP, OT, DT, PT) living locally, perhaps studying externally - or;
  2. Certificate IV in Allied Health - or;
  3. Fully qualified and/or experienced Allied Health Assistant (min Cert III).
  4. Hold a valid QLD Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
  5. Have completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module training.
  6. Hold current First Aid and CPR.
  7. Current drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  8. Well-developed interpersonal skills and an understanding of the importance of professional boundaries and scope of practice.
  9. Capacity to assist in all duties and be confident to do so autonomously.
