Job summary

Silver Chain in Mandurah/Rockingham is seeking a Therapy Assistant to support Allied Health Professionals in delivering home-based rehabilitation and therapy programs to meet client needs.

You’ll undertake duties from 9am to 3pm, up to five days per week, covering Rockingham to Mandurah. A Cert 4 in Allied Health Assistance (or current study toward it) is required, along with a valid Australian Driver’s Licence and strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Cert 4 Allied Health Assistance (or working towards) as a minimum
• Demonstrated experience in aged care activities and/or speech/mobility/occupational and/or cognitive therapies.
• A current Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate desirable but not essential
• Well Developed communication, time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with allied health programs for clients in the home, within the scope of ability and training to meet client needs.
• Communicate with team regarding care provided to clients on an ongoing basis to ensure activities and care provided is consistent with changing client needs.
• Identify areas for ongoing training and development.

Therapy Assistant - Casual

Silver Chain have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Therapy Assistant to join our growing, diverse and dynamic team in Mandurah/Rockingham. The role will see you undertake rehabilitation, correctional and physical activities as directed by Allied Health Professionals such as Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to meet client needs.

This community role will cover Rockingham right down to Mandurah area. We seek availability for up to 5 days per week, Monday to Friday 9am – 3pm.

Please note that you must have Cert 4 in Allied Health, or evidence of working towards. We may accept a Cert 3 in Allied Health, depending on accompanying experience.

The Role
