Silverchain is seeking experienced Care Aides for casual shifts across Byford and surrounding areas in Western Australia. Roles involve providing high-quality personal care, mobility assistance, meal prep and domestic tasks, with travel between clients’ homes using a company mobile app to follow care plans.

Applicants should have a Certificate III in Aged Care (desirable) or relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work autonomously in the community.

Qualifications

• Able to travel to multiple client locations in WA.
• Valid driver's license with access to a registered vehicle.

Responsibilities

Care Aide – Byford and surrounds – WA

We’re recruiting experienced Care Aides for a casual role, mainly needed Monday, Wednesday, Friday between 8:00am and 2:00pm.

Applicants must live in Armadale, Bedford, Brookdale, Byford, Camillo, Cardup, Champion Lake, Darling Downs, Forrestdale, Haynes, Jarrahdale, Karragullen, Karrakup, Kelmscott, Keysbrook, Mardella, Mount Nasura, Mount Richon, Mundijong, Oakford, Oldbury, Roleystone, Serpentine, Seville Grove, Whitby, or Wungong.

The role involves delivering high-quality personal care and support, including showering, grooming, toileting, medication assistance, meal preparation, domestic tasks and community-based social support. Care Aides work independently, travelling between clients’ homes, so a reliable vehicle and confidence using a mobile app to follow schedules and care plans are essential.

What we’re looking for

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC, Disability is highly desirable, although not essential.
• Those with a relevant Certificate will require a minimum of 3 months relevant care worker experience. Those without a relevant Certificate will require a minimum of 6+ months relevant care worker experience (FTE).
• Experience working in a home care/community setting is highly desirable.
• A valid Drivers’ License with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle which is appropriately insured and in good condition, is essential.
• Ability and willingness to work autonomously in the community, travelling from home to home, referring to a digital schedule and care plan, via a mobile app, will be essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills are essential.
