Silverchain is hiring an Occupational Therapist to join our Multidisciplinary Care team. You will help clients set and achieve goals to re-engage with the community, working with an integrated team of allied health professionals.

Two Peel-region roles available; flexible hours and potential 4-day week for the right candidate. A home garage vehicle is provided, enabling travel across local communities.

Formación

• Qualified allied health professional with demonstrated field experience.

At Silverchain, we endeavour to have our team members working as close to home as possible. Due to growth, we have two roles available:

Due to growth, we have two roles available. One role will cover our Peel regions (Secret Harbour to Wannanup) The second role will cover Fremantle to Baldvis in Upper South West.

Working Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm or 8.30am - 4.30pm. We will consider a 4 day week for the right applicant. Home garaged vehicle will be provided.

What We’re looking for

• Relevant qualification in allied health profession with demonstrated experience in field of expertise.
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to use appropriate treatment and assessment methods.
• Well developed communication (verbal, written and listening) and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, carers, families and direct care employees.
• Demonstrated ability to provide education, support and coaching to direct care employees, clients and their carers.
• Demonstrated time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously together with a team focus to participate and contribute to business unit and organisational objectives.
• Problem solving, negotiation and influencing skills to determine and implement appropriate care plans.
• Demonstrated computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets and calendar management software to prepare correspondence and effective documentation.
• A demonstrated empathetic and flexible approach to co-ordinate and schedule resources whilst responding to client needs.
• A demonstrated understanding of service provision, allocation and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Previous experience in a community or residential environment within the aged care industry.
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate is desirable.
