Silver Chain is recruiting a Therapy Assistant to join our Geraldton team. The role involves supporting rehabilitation and therapy activities for clients in the home under supervision of Allied Health Professionals, with hours 9am–2pm Monday to Friday and potential extension to 4pm.

You must have Cert 4 Allied Health Assistance (or be working towards it). The position requires demonstrated aged care/therapy experience and a current Australian Driver’s Licence.

Qualificações

• Cert 4 Allied Health Assistance is the minimum requirement.
• Experience in aged care activities and/or speech/mobility/occupational therapies is preferred.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence is required.
• Senior First Aid Certificate is desirable but not essential.

Therapy Assistant

Silver Chain have an exciting opportunity for experienced Therapy Assistant to join our growing, diverse and dynamic team in Geraldton. The role will see you undertake rehabilitation, correctional and physical activities as directed by Allied Health Professionals such as Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to meet client needs.

This community role will cover Geraldton and surrounds. Contracted working hours will be Monday to Friday 9am – 2pm. We will seek availability up to 4pm.

Please note that you must have Cert 4 in Allied Health, or evidence of working towards.

The Role

• Assist with allied health programs for clients in the home, within the scope of ability and training to meet client needs.
• Communicate with team regarding care provided to clients on an ongoing basis to ensure activities and care provided is consistent with changing client needs.
• Identify areas for ongoing training and development.
• Maintain confidentiality of information

What We’re looking for
