Job summary

Kirinari Community Services is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers who are passionate about building meaningful relationships, supporting independence, and helping participants achieve their goals.

Using a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach you will support participants to build independence, implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies, promote choice, and facilitate community participation.

Qualifications

• Understand person-centred and strengths-based practice.
• Build genuine, respectful relationships with participants.
• Remain calm, resilient and emotionally intelligent.
• Balance empathy with professional boundaries.
• Commitment to participant choice and dignity.
• NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
• First Aid and CPR current.
• Driver licence and a reliable insured vehicle.
• Working With Children/Vulnerable Persons check.

Responsibilities

• Support participants to build independence and daily living skills.
• Implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
• Promote choice, control and self-determination.
• Facilitate community participation and social connection.
