Job summary

SYC's Specialised Residential Care (SRC) program is seeking an experienced Therapeutic Care Team Leader to guide a dedicated team in a trauma-informed home in Gilles Plains, with duties including oversight of care delivery, supervision of Therapeutic Care Workers and collaboration with stakeholders.

The role is full-time and fixed-term until 8 January 2028, with occasional travel to the Kent Town head office and other SYC locations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading a team in a residential care setting.
• Experience with trauma-informed approaches and child safeguarding.
• Ability to manage timesheets, incident reports and case notes.
• Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours on-call roster.
• Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the home and supervise TCWs.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality therapeutic care.
• Mentor team members and provide resources and training.
• Collaborate on transition plans for children and young people.
• Maintain administrative tasks including financial oversight, timesheets, leaves, and case notes.
• Engage with stakeholders to support wellbeing.
