Job summary

Barwon Health is seeking Theatre Technicians (Grade 3–5) to join the Operating Services team at University Hospital Geelong. Roles include maintaining theatre safety, equipment readiness and patient preparation across grade levels.

Permanent part-time or full-time opportunities are available, with a 76-hour fortnight schedule noted. You will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months’ experience as a Theatre Technician.
• Demonstrated communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to participate in on-the-job training and skills development.
• Ability to support a 24-hour, 7-day service.

Responsibilities

• Grade 3: Provide safe theatre support and prepare patients for procedures.
• Grade 4: Maintain a safe, clean theatre and report hazards.
• Grade 5: Coordinate daily workloads and mentor colleagues.
• All grades: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and follow Barwon Health standards.
