Job summary

Barwon Health is inviting applications for a Theatre Technician to support the operating theatre team at University Hospital Geelong. This role covers patient preparation, theatre readiness and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, quality care.

Grade 3–5 levels require progressively 24 to 48 months of theatre experience, with leadership potential and commitment to training. Permanent part-time or full-time positions (76 hours per fortnight) are available.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Theatre Technician in a hospital setting is desirable.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality theatre support within scope of practice.
• Prepare, position and transfer patients for procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean theatre environment and report issues.
• Participate in mandatory training and quality improvement activities.
