Job summary

Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast is seeking applications for a casual Theatre Orderly to support wards. The role operates on a rotating 24/7 roster with morning, afternoon and night shifts, based at the Gold Coast Campus.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Theatre Orderly in a healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary environments.
• Ability to prioritise tasks in dynamic clinical settings.
• Commitment to infection prevention and patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating theatres and equipment for procedures.
• Assist with safe manual handling and positioning of patients and equipment.
• Clean and maintain theatres and equipment between procedures.
• Support surgical teams across adult, paediatric and obstetric theatres.
• Collaborate with nurses and medical staff to ensure smooth theatre operations.
• Adhere to WHS policies and organisational procedures.
• Participate in mandatory education and quality improvement initiatives.
