Healthscope’s Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking dedicated theatre orderlies for casual or part-time roles. You will contribute to patient care in a fast-paced theatre setting and support nurses, medical staff and administrative colleagues in a collaborative environment.

Experience in a hospital setting is preferred, with a focus on flexibility across shifts. This role offers a chance to work across different hospital areas and to develop strong patient-care skills within a supportive team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create a hospitable environment for patients and families
• Collaborate with nurses and clinicians to support patient flow
• Move patients by wheelchair or bed within the hospital
• Assist with equipment and supply management across wards
• Support transfer of patients to appointments and imaging
• Follow directions from the Nurse Coordinator and work in a team or independently

Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking dedicated Hospital Orderlies to join our supportive theatre team on a casual or part-time basis. Play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while thriving in a fast-paced hospital environment.

About us:

Brisbane Private Hospital isa 181 bed facility, which providesexpert care in fields such as orthopaedics, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, plastics, urology, ear, nose and throat, general surgery, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation.The hospital is centrally located on the fringe of the CBD with excellent public transport access.

As a Theatre Orderly your responsibilities will include:

• Cultivating a hospitable and friendly environment for all patients
• Work as an active team member with nurses, medical officers, external providers and administrators
• Movement of patients within the Hospital eg. In Wheelchair or Bed
• Supporting Hospital ward areas eg. Equipment supply
• Assisting with the transfer of patients to and from appointments
• Taking direction from Hospital Nurse Coordinator.
• Work as part of a team and independently
• Willingness to learn and adaptable to different situations
• Experience in a hospital environment or similar preferred but not essential.
• Ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision
• Excellent customer service, organisational and communication skills
• Flexibility, reliability and ability to work under pressure
• Willingness to work across a number of different shift times and duration.
