Job summary

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane in Sydney, NSW, is seeking a Permanent Full Time role within Surgical Services to assist theatre staff with patient transport, OR setup, and equipment readiness. • Previous hospital or Operating Room experience.
• Commitment to attending conferences and lectures as identified as requirements for this position.
• Knowledge of Department of Health Guidelines and Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety, Infection Control and their impact on the delivery of care.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist theatre staff to transport patients within the Operating Suite from Reception and Day Stay Unit to Theatre, Recovery, and Reception for discharge.
• Assist with preparations of the Operating Room table and its attachments for varying surgical procedures.
• Ensure adequate equipment is present for each Operating Room.
• Work with Nurse Managers and colleagues to provide optimal service to all customers, including patients, VMOs, and nursing staff.
• Participate in Surgical Services Department and hospital staff meetings and education programs.
• Continuously update knowledge in new treatments, practices, and equipment to ensure delivery of the highest standard of care.

About the Role

About You
